The family operated business began in 1953 when brothers Kenneth and Paul Moyer began building homes. In 1963, Paul W. Moyer, building contractor, purchased a farm to subdivide, realizing that well planned subdivisions would be the key to future area growth. In 1983, the name was changed to Paul W. Moyer & Sons, Inc.

Today the business along Swamp Pike in New Hanover Township is truly a family business involving sons, daughters, and in-laws. The family business is somewhat unique in that it provides custom homes in an industry that has become a choice between available package deals.
